Café Benito/Sala Juarez

The first recommendation goes to Café Benito. If you are looking for an inspiring and modern café in the centre of Guadalajara this is a very nice place to go to. The food is simple and good based on traditional mexican recipes with international influences, but if you don't feel like having food they also serve coffee, drinks and beer. Apart from the café they also have a library and an exhibition area, Sala Juarez, where they host exhibitions from local, national and international artists. 

This weekend they hosted a bazaar or market with local mexican designers and artists. You could find everything from furniture, clothes, accessories and vintage stuff. I love those kind of markets where creative people get a chance to show and sell their things and lately they seem to appear everywhere in the city.

Första rekommendationen går till Café Benito. Om du är ute efter ett kafé med inspirerande och modern miljö i Guadalajara centrum kan jag tipsa om Café Benito. Maten är baserad på traditionell mexikansk mat med internationella influenser, men är man inte ute efter att äta finns även olika sorters kaffe, drinkar och öl på menyn. Förutom att det är ett kafé så har de även ett bibliotek och lokaler för utställningar där lokala och internationella utställare visar sina alster.

I helgen som var hade de en designmarknad där lokala mexikanska designers ställde ut. Det fanns alltifrån möbler, kläder, accessoarer och second-hand prylar. Jag är verkligen förtjust i denna typ av marknader där kreativa människor får chans att visa och sälja sina alster och på sistone verkar de dyka upp lite överallt i denna stad.
